Meet Quinna: A Gentle Retired British Shorthair Looking for a Loving Home

Quinna is a retired British Shorthair queen from our friends’ cattery. She has been loved and well cared for throughout her life, and she has not been part of a breeding program for a long time.
She was originally going to stay as a family pet with our friends. Unfortunately, their children, along with the owner, developed serious allergy symptoms around cats. Because of this, they had to close their cattery and make the very difficult decision to rehome their cats.
Out of love and care for these cats, we are helping them find safe, responsible, and loving forever homes. Quinna is currently being fostered with us while we look for the right family for her.

Quinna’s Personality

Catitude

1. Playfulness Quinna enjoys playing and can entertain herself. She likes spending time in the garden and may play with small flying insects for a long time. She is not very interested in wand toys.
2. Curiosity Quinna is curious about new things. She likes to smell, touch, and explore unfamiliar spaces at her own pace.
3. Adaptability Quinna adjusts well to new environments. After moving, she showed very little stress or anxiety.
4. Gentleness Quinna is very gentle and enjoys being petted. Most of the time, she rests quietly on a lounge chair and sleeps comfortably.

Gentle and Affectionate

Quinna is a very sweet female British Shorthair with a calm and loving personality. She enjoys spending time with people and likes being close to those she trusts. When she sees us, she often starts kneading happily. She especially enjoys gentle head and chin pets. When she is comfortable, she closes her eyes and relaxes into the moment. Quinna grew up in a loving home, and it shows in her personality. She is open, cheerful, and friendly. She enjoys human attention and can be a wonderful companion for someone who wants a cat with a warm and affectionate nature.

Health and Daily Life

Solid and Healthy

Quinna is nine years old, but she is still in very good physical condition. She has a solid build, a steady appetite, and a cheerful interest in daily life. She enjoys her meals, responds well to routine care, and stays bright, comfortable, and engaged with the people around her.

Curious and Active

Quinna is curious about new things and likes exploring spaces at her own pace. In summer, she enjoys supervised time in the garden, where she can walk, play, and look around. Even as a mature cat, she still has a lively side and enjoys gentle activity, attention, and interaction.

A Smart British Shorthair Companion

Quinna is a smart cat. She knows her name and responds to her owner’s instructions. This makes her especially rewarding for a family that enjoys building a close relationship with their cat.
Like many British Shorthair cats, she has a steady and affectionate nature. She is not overly demanding, but she does appreciate love, patience, and gentle attention.

The Ideal Home for Quinna

We hope to find Quinna a forever home with someone who truly loves cats and understands that adult cats need time to adjust to a new environment. The best home for her would be calm, patient, and stable, with a family who has experience caring for cats and is willing to let her settle in at her own pace.
Quinna would do well with people who enjoy gentle affection, quiet companionship, and daily care. She deserves a family who understands the needs of a mature British Shorthair and will give her a peaceful, loving life as a cherished family companion.
