Meet Maple

Maple is a warm and affectionate girl who loves being part of whatever is happening around her. She is often one of the first kittens to come over when we enter the room, and she genuinely enjoys being close to people. She is playful, confident, and active without being overwhelming. Pick her up and she settles comfortably in your arms, just as happy to enjoy attention as she is to chase a toy across the room.

Always Finding Her Way to You

Maple has a way of making sure you notice her. When we are cleaning the kitten room or getting everyone ready for food, she is often one of the first to run over. She rubs her head against our knees, places her paws on our legs, and stays close as if she wants to be involved in whatever we are doing. When she wants food, she may try to have a little conversation with us. When she wants affection, she simply comes closer. She can be busy chasing a teaser wand one moment and happily settled in our arms the next.

Personality

Maple is affectionate, confident, and playful, with a strong preference for being around people. She has plenty of energy for play but settles easily and enjoys being handled.

Affectionate and socialMaple genuinely enjoys company. She follows people, seeks attention, and is often among the first kittens to greet someone. She is comfortable being picked up and settles nicely in our arms. She also gets along well with the other cats and kittens, with Taro being one of her favorite companions.
Playful and engagedMaple loves games that involve running and catching. She will spring toward toys, chase a teaser wand, and happily play with the other kittens. She has an active side, but her play remains manageable and she settles well afterward.
Curious and confidentNew things rarely make Maple hesitate for long. She is comfortable entering a new room, usually approaches unfamiliar objects to investigate them, and tends to be one of the first kittens to explore. Her confidence gives her an easy, involved presence around the home.
Quietly expressiveMaple is usually quiet, but she does occasionally try to talk to us. Food and an especially tempting play session are the most likely reasons to hear her voice. Even then, her voice is mild rather than loud.

Appearance

Maple has a large, rounded face framed by her full coat. Her forehead, cheeks, and muzzle are all broad and full, giving her the sweet expression that stands out immediately when you look at her. Her large round green eyes are bright and expressive. Her ears are small to medium in size and sit neatly in proportion to her head. She has a sturdy, dense build and is slightly larger than her littermates, with substantial paws that suit her overall structure.

Coat & Color

Maple has a long, dense coat that feels soft, smooth, and silky. Her fur stays full from her head through her body and into her thick tail, giving her an especially plush appearance. Her golden tone is warm and bright, with only a small amount of darker tipping visible through the coat. Under the light, the golden color takes on a noticeable sheen that makes her coat one of her most distinctive features.
