British Longhair Kittens for Sale — Victor (Golden Shaded)
Victor is, and always will be, one of the most special cats in our home and our cattery. He is the son from the first litter of Edith and Teddy, and from the beginning, his life taught us what responsibility, patience, and hope really mean. If you are a cat lover searching for British Longhair kittens for sale and want a cat with an affectionate nature, a strong spirit, and a deeply loving personality, Victor is truly one of a kind.
He is a golden shaded British Longhair boy who has grown into a happy, social, food loving, people oriented cat. He lives like a normal cat in daily life, gets along beautifully with other cats, and brings warmth to everyone around him.
Victor’s Story. Why He Means So Much to Us
When Victor was born, he looked normal for the first few days. He ate well, grew well, and seemed strong. Then we discovered that he had been born without a normal anal opening. At that moment, we made a decision. We would do everything we could to save him. We believed he could still have a healthy and happy life, and as breeders, we felt it was our responsibility to care for the life we brought into this world.
Because he was still so young, we waited until he was about one month old before surgery. We did not want to risk losing him because of his young age. We brought him to Capital City Animal Emergency Hospital in Ottawa, and we are deeply grateful to Dr. Jeff Biskup, who performed the surgery that gave Victor a functional artificial opening and the chance to enjoy the world fully.
After surgery, Victor needed very close care and observation. He could no longer stay with his mother Edith and his sister Cassie, because normal mothering behavior could have damaged the surgical area. From that point on, all of his feeding and nursery care were carried by us. We fed him goat milk at first, then raw meat as he grew older. Through every step, Victor was gentle, cooperative, and full of quiet strength. He never fought us, never refused food, and never lost his will to live. We truly believe his survival came from both his own spirit and the help we were fortunate enough to give him.

Growing Strong. From Intensive Care to Normal Daily Life
Because Victor stopped nursing from his mother at only one month old, we knew he might not have the same immune support as his littermates. We kept him warm, protected, and away from rough play until we were sure he was strong enough. The biggest challenge in his early life was learning how to poop comfortably and consistently.
When he was still tiny, we carefully managed his diet using a combination of raw food, prescription food, and a gentle laxative. Occasionally he needed extra help at home, but thankfully that did not happen often. As he matured, he learned to poop on his own, adapted to normal cat food, and became stable.
Today, Victor eats well, poops well, plays well, and lives like a normal cat. He is very food motivated, very affectionate, and extremely tolerant. He does not quarrel with other cats and he approaches life with kindness. I sometimes think about how easily his story could have gone another way, and I never regret the money, effort, and care we gave him. He is a happy cat now, and that is what matters most.
Fur and Body. A Strong Golden Shaded British Longhair Cat
Victor is a more than average strong boy with a solid build and good muscle. His body feels sturdy, with dense limbs and a strong spine, and his coat has a silky texture that reminds me very much of his mother Edith. His golden shading is warm and beautiful, and his fur is surprisingly easy to keep tidy because it does not mat or knot easily.
His face is one of my favorite parts of him. He has a round face, round eyes, an up curl nose, and a full mouth that gives him a soft, sweet expression. He has that lovely British type that so many people admire in both British Longhair cats and British Shorthair cats.
Purrsonality Introduction of British Longhair, Victor
Victor is affectionate, social, and very connected to people. He is one of those cats who makes a home feel more alive simply by being nearby.
1. Sociability Victor is a well socialized cat with good manners. He is friendly to everyone and shows kindness to both humans and other cats. He likes sharing space with others, whether that means eating together, drinking together, or sleeping on the same cat tree.
2. Independence Victor is not an independent type. He likes staying close, often within a foot of you, and he enjoys physical closeness in a very sweet way. When I am nearby, he often rubs against my legs, and if I let him, he will happily climb into my lap.
3. Vocalization Victor is mildly vocal. Like his sister Cassie, he will speak up when he wants food or wants your attention. It never feels loud or demanding. It feels more like a gentle conversation.
4. Curiosity Victor is curious about funny objects, daily activity, and especially whatever food you are eating. He likes to watch, sniff, and investigate, always in a gentle and interested way.
Finding the Perfect Family for Victor
We are open to letting Victor be adopted, but only into the right home. We are looking for a family that is patient, kind, and comfortable with the fact that while Victor can be treated like a normal cat in everyday life, he does have one small detail that adopters should understand.
Because he does not have a natural sphincter, he may not always finish pooping as neatly as other cats. Very occasionally, the very last bit may not separate cleanly on its own, and a small firm stool ball may remain at the end for a moment instead of dropping off right away. He is still able to poop normally. It is simply that the last little bit may sometimes stay there and need a quick check and gentle clean up. This is rare, and there is no special skill involved, only patience and comfort with basic care.
Victor is already a neutered male. He gets along with all of our cats and has full freedom to roam in our home. We are happy to let the right family adopt a British Longhair like Victor, and we would also want to stay in touch and keep track of how he is doing. At the same time, if the perfect home does not appear, we are more than happy to keep caring for him ourselves.
Bringing Home Victor. Daily Care and Practical Tips
Bringing home Victor is not complicated. He eats normal food just like our other cats. Like many longhaired cats, if he has soft stool, a little mess can collect on the fur around his back end. That is already something we see from time to time with adult longhair cats in general, so regular trimming of the butt fur is a simple and practical habit.
He also has a small scar from a kitten fight when he was young. It is visible, but not very obvious, and it does not affect his quality of life. There are no complicated professional care instructions for Victor. What matters most is a calm routine, a loving home, and an adopter who understands his history without seeing him as fragile.
Adoption Process, Health Checks, and Transparency
For us, ethical breeding practices are not just words. Victor’s story is a big reason why. We believe kittens receive proper medical care, honest evaluation, and long term commitment from their breeders. As cat breeders, we do not walk away when things become difficult.
If a serious family wants to adopt a British Longhair like Victor, we are open and transparent about his history, his routine, and what daily life with him looks like. We can also share videos and explain his care clearly so the adoption process feels informed and comfortable. Good health checks, honest communication, and realistic expectations are part of finding the perfect match, especially for a cat this special.
Why Victor Is One of the Most Ideal Companions We Know
Victor is sweet to humans, kind to other cats, and full of quiet gratitude. He is playful, food oriented, tolerant, and deeply affectionate. He has already overcome more than many cats ever will, and today he lives as a happy, loving British Longhair cat who enjoys his meals, his naps, his cat trees, and the company of those around him.
For the right family, Victor is not a compromise. He is not a pity case. He is a beautiful, loving cat with a remarkable story and an affectionate nature that makes him one of the most memorable family members anyone could hope for.
