One of Our Biggest Projects Yet: Moving

To bring our philosophy of living, sharing, and thriving with cats to life, while also serving more of our clients more conveniently, we began searching for a more spacious home earlier this year. We still hope to build a home designed specifically for our cattery in the future, but for now, we feel incredibly lucky to have found a lovely property in Brantford, Ontario.

It offers beautiful natural surroundings, great privacy, and a well-built home with much more space for us and our cats. We will be moving there this August.

We hope this explains why we have been sharing fewer updates and photos recently. We are literally spending almost every free minute packing. Moving our entire household and all of our cats more than 500 kilometres requires a great deal of planning and preparation.

We have carefully designed the moving plan with our cats’ safety, comfort, and well-being as our highest priorities. Right now, we are working hard to put every part of that plan into action.

So yes, this newsletter was written during one of our short breaks from packing and physical work.

Our Vision for the Future

With more space, we will be able to redesign and renovate the home around the needs of both our family and our cats. Our goal is to create an environment where every cat can live comfortably, safely, and as naturally as possible while still being part of our daily life.

The additional indoor space will also allow us to welcome more of our previous kittens back for complimentary boarding when their families need help. We have always loved seeing them again, and we hope the new home will make it easier for us to continue offering this support.

With the larger outdoor area, we are also considering building a secure catio where our adult cats and older kittens can safely enjoy supervised time outdoors, experience fresh air, and explore the natural surroundings.

We are also planning more modern upgrades that will make our breeding program and daily cattery life more transparent. We hope to share more of how our cats live, how our kittens are raised, and the care and thought behind each part of our program.

There is still a great deal to design, renovate, and build, but moving is the first and most important step toward making this vision a reality.

Upcoming Kitten Reservations

Reservations for kittens born in May are expected to open around mid-August. The reservation process has been slightly delayed while we prepare for our move.

We will contact everyone on the waiting list in order by both email and text message, so please keep an eye out and make sure you do not miss our message.

You are also always welcome to contact us if your preferences or preferred timing have changed, or if there is anything else you would like us to update before reservations begin.
